Celebration of Chinese Day
Modern High School for Girls celebrated Chinese Day on 26th April, 2024 in honour of the Chinese language and culture. The programme was presented by the Mandarin learners from Classes 6-9. It included a song, dance, skit and quiz, all highlighting the beautiful elements of Chinese heritage.
Art Workshop at Victoria Memorial
Students from Class 8 of Modern High School for Girls participated in a Zine - making workshop at Victoria Memorial on 22nd April, 2024. The workshop was conducted by Ms. Swati Mishra, an expert in interdisciplinary learning. The students created double -sided mini zines on the theme, 'Planet vs Plastic'. On the occasion of Earth Day, it aimed to create awareness about the detrimental effects of plastic on Mother Earth.
IAYP trip to West Sikkim from 1st to 6th April
The students belonging to the Modern High School for Girls IAYP Unit went for an adventure camp to West Sikkim from 1st to 6th April, 2024. The students visited Chakung and Barsey. The highlight of the trip was a hike to the Barsey camp through a rhododendron and wildlife sanctuary. To protect the wildlife, the locals in Barsey do not use electricity as they believe in a sustainable and inclusive lifestyle with nature.
