On 13th August 2024 Acting Consul General Jens Wagner from German Consulate Kolkata, Frau Astrid Wege (Director of Goethe Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan, Kolkata) and Ms. Anita Mitra (Education Cooperation Officer of Goethe Institut/Max Mueller Bhawan) visited Modern High School, Kolkata. They were welcomed by Mrs. Damayanti Mukherjee (Principal), Mrs. A. Confectioner  (Principal, Junior School) and Mrs. Swati Das (Vice Principal), Mrs. Bina Ghosh and Ms. Sarika Dhir (German Faculty Members). They were greeted by our Grade 5 German Learners.

 The Acting Consul General Herr Wagner had interesting discussions on our schools active involvement in the PASCH Programme, our previous and ongoing Exchange programmes with the German schools, our one and only German Fest -Treffpunkt in the City and other German related activities of the MHSG Family.  The Consul General then visited the Goethe Zimmer, where he interacted with some enthusiastic German Learners of Middle School and their Parents. There was a brief question and answer session with our 3 senior students from class 12. Herr Wagner gave his valuable tips on prospects of higher education and job scenarios  in  Germany.
