Tree Planting Drive arranged by the CLEAN club
The CLEAN Club, of Modern High School for Girls, dedicated to conserving the environment and promoting sustainable practices, organized a tree planting drive on 19th July with the objective of planting 150 trees.
This activity aimed to contribute positively to our ecosystem, combat deforestation, and raise awareness about the importance of preserving nature among students and the local community.
Students across Classes 6-12 enthusiastically participated in this tree-planting drive arranged by the nature club. 150 saplings were planted in the outskirts of the city in Kabardanga, an ideal location away from the busier parts of the city! The students got hands-on experience working with the local people, planting trees outside of the school premises. Besides planting, they also got a chance to be closer to nature and spotted ducks and other birds on this venture!
It was a truly memorable experience that will stay with each of the students and inculcate in them the habit of planting more trees whether it be in their homes or neighborhood roadside. It will sensitize them to the needs of mother nature and people alike.
We may not have found a cure for Global Warming just yet, but we surely are closer by 150 trees!
