On 16th September, 2022 the IGCSE and IBDP German students of MHSI had the opportunity to visit the Goethe Institut to see a Virtual Reality installation called “The Infinite Library”. The project’s purpose was to showcase how libraries can be transformed into interactive spaces with the advances in technology and engage people with different forms of storytelling. The students read fascinating texts on unique knowledge systems and participated in the VR experience which was extremely elevated and complex through the usage of spatial audio, vivid visuals and intense realism. The idea of application based learning being one of the central ideas of the exhibit, aligned perfectly with the skills being taught in the IGCSE and IBDP curricula. It was an extremely engaging session as it allowed the exploration of the different realms of knowledge.
