On Monday 18 July Dr. Chetan Solanki of IIT Bombay visited our school to share his vision on sustainable living. He has been travelling all over India in a solar bus to create and spread awareness about solar power and sustainable living. The students of class 9 and the members of the Clean club  had an interesting and educative interaction with Dr. Solanki. The alarming environmental pollution and the ominous consequences of global warming were discussed. He explained how each one of us is responsible for the dire situation we are in. He suggested avoiding and minimizing the use of energy from fossil fuels and  adopting solar energy solutions to keep a check on the rising temperature of the earth. 

The session was an eye opener for many of us.

A peek inside his home, the solar bus complete with living and office space including  a kitchen, a washroom and a tiny garden was a bonus !
