STEM Workshop
Students of Modern High School for Girls and Modern High School International attended the STEM Workshop on the 16th of June, 2022 and the project finale on 26th of August, 2022 held in association with the American Consulate at the American Center.
It was a very enriching experience which allowed the students to develop a lot of hands-on scientific skills like kinesthetic adeptness, quick thinking, exploring innovative ideas and arranging and programming circuits. They were introduced to Arduino Uno and worked on modelling 'Smart Wheelchair' using Scratch and a basic vehicle building kit. It encouraged relating science to social issues and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). MHSI students, along with St. John’s Diocesan Girls High School, were tasked with making a “Night Accident Preventing Car”. Overall the workshop gave them a platform to be creative and innovative and provided them an opportunity to collaborate with like-minded STEM enthusiasts.
