Rufous Treepie baby rescued in the school garden
During the Middle school break time on Thursday 14 July, a Rufous Treepie baby was found on the grass under a tree. It looked unwell and could not fly. The students in the garden were excited as well as worried seeing the helpless little bird. However it was promptly picked up by one of the school personnel and kept safely in a basket. The Wildlife Division of the Forest Department was informed immediately. The forest officials soon arrived and carried away the injured bird to be rehabilitated
