Modern High School for Girls Inter-House Debate Finals took place on 7th July, 2023 between Lotus and Gulmohar Houses. The two houses battled it out based on the motion  'Defence funding should be directed towards social welfare'. The Lotus House emerged as winners with Samriddhi Ganguly, K. Adhyaa and Aanya Grover as the Speakers for the House. Aanya Grover was declared the Best Speaker. Radhika Mitra was declared the Second Best Speaker. Ms. Shakuntala Datta and Mr. Yashroop Dey were the esteemed judges for the event and appreciated the eloquence and level-headed arguments put forward by each Speaker. Overall, it was a war of words that whetted the curiosity of the audience and left them with much food for thought.
