The  students of Modern High School for Girls had gone to the East Kolkata Wetlands in October last year on a field visit guided by Dr Sudeshna Ghosh and Dr Subhamita Chaudhuri . With the funds raised from their contribution, books were bought  for a local school, the Bamanghata High School in the East Kolkata Wetlands, for the benefit of the students of the area. 

The  Headmaster of the school was contacted and as per his request  some books were  procured for their library and subsequently delivered.
