'March to Freedom' is an exhibition curated by the Delhi Art Gallery and displayed at the Indian Museum, Kolkata. It aims to reimagine Indian history and shed light upon the unexplored aspects of the freedom struggle through DAG’s vast collection of artworks thereby, giving its viewers a more eclectic experience. Eight students from Class 12 of Modern High School for Girls were chosen to be a part of the workshop arranged in collaboration with Seagull's 'History of Peace' and DAG to act as peer guides at the exhibition. The students were trained for the first two days on 6th & 7th September, 2022 through varied activities and on 9th and 16th of September, 2022, they acted as guides to the regular public visiting the exhibition as well as to the students of the visiting schools. Indian history is undoubtedly extremely layered, but these artworks helped the students to discover and comprehend it differently. This one of a kind workshop exposed the students to an extremely enriching experience.
