The CLEAN Club members of Modern High School for Girls had a wonderful opportunity to explore the avian species in their own school garden. On 18th January, 2025 the Club members were led by Resource Persons Mr. Caeser Sen, Mr. Sugato Saha and Mr. Sriram Aiyar in a  Bird Walk during which the students discovered fascinating details about bird behaviors, change in colour of plumage during breeding season, difference between male and female birds of the same kind and their need for privacy while breeding. The students spotted various birds like Taiga Flycatcher, Lineated Barbet, Purple Sunbird, Golden Fronted Woodpecker and many more. The walk was followed by a short presentation on the various birds in the Sunderbans. Observing them in their natural habitat was calming and helped to gain a deep sense of appreciation for nature and its delicate balance. It was a memorable and enriching experience.
