Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK or Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi)
Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK or Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi), an international standardized test of Chinese language proficiency, which assesses non-native Chinese speakers’ abilities in using the Chinese language in their daily, academic and professional lives, equivalent to English TOEFL Exams, was conducted at India’s Confucius Classroom and Authorised HSK Test Center of India in Kolkata at The School of World Languages, on April 9 and July 16 of this year.
7 Students of Chinese Department of Modern High School participated in the Examinations conducted on April 9. All 7 passed with flying colours and have received the Certificate from Chinese Testing International in Beijing, China. Special mention must be made of Student Mihira Burman and Debangi Tapadar who scored the highest marks of 185 out of 200 in HSK Level 2 Examination.
On July 16, 4 Students of MHS Chinese Department, participated in HSK Level One Examination, 5 Students participated in HSK Level Two Examination and Student Aalia Burman participated in HSK Level Three Examination and HSKK Spoken Examination. Results will be declared on August 16. The School of World Languages wish all Test-takers good luck!
