Modern High School for Girls organized Art Mela ‘23 on 19th December, 2023 in the school campus. It included a trip down the lanes of Kumartuli where the members of the Focus Club have attempted to capture the creative process through their lenses when they visited Kumartuli just before Durga Puja and the experiences have been expressed through words by the members of the Scribes Club. The Art Mela also included a number of creative and interactive workshops such as ceramic, zine making, handmade jewellery, gala sculpture and wordtoons. Students got the opportunity to interact with artists and artisans and get hands-on experience. There was also an Art Display along with the SUPW Display to provide a platform to showcase the student's  many talents and artistic creativity. Modern High School for Girls firmly believes in the ideology of ‘Learning from everywhere’ and thus, the students are encouraged to explore and express their potent creative instincts. After all, life is a canvas and each of us is an artist, differing only in our unique brush strokes.
