10 schools participated in the Reliance Foundation Junior NBA Championship 2022 on the 6th and 7th of May, 2022 at Bengal Tennis Association where the Modern High School for Girls basketball team emerged as the champions.

In the pre quarter final match Modern High School for Girls played against DAV Public School Kharagpur and won with a huge margin of 29-11.The quarter final match was played against Barisha Purba Para High school and Modern High School for Girls for girls beat them with a score of 26-04.The Semi-final match was played against Amar Vidyapith with a score of 32-07 thus sealing the Modern High School for Girls position in the Finals. Modern High School for Girls beat La Martiniere for Girls in the finals with a final score of 19-15.

The top scorer of the Modern High School for Girls team was Ms. Aarshia Gupta who made it to the State Team for the National Championship which will be held at Noida from 16th -18th of May, 2022. Mr. Kishore Mukherjee, basketball coach of Modern High School for Girls had coached the girls to victory. Ms. Saheli Dutta of the Physical Education Faculty of Modern High School for Girls has been selected to be the National coach for the National Championship tournament in May.
