The Poetry Society, London, awarded the title of Foyle Young Poets of the Year Commended Poet 2021 to Anandini Sengupta of Class 8 B, on Friday, 22nd October, 2021.

The  Society was founded in 1909, for promoting recognition and appreciation of poetry. They run the Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award, annually.

This year, Anandini has been selected as one of the top 100 poets out of  about 15,000 poets from children aged between 11--17 years from 107 countries.              

She attended an award ceremony (virtually), which was held in London, and her prizes comprising books, stationery and certificates have been sent to her by post from there.
