Modern High School for Girls organised a Soap and Candle Making Workshop for the students of Class 8 over September’24. It attempted to expose the students to a dynamic curriculum where life skills and community service are woven seamlessly into the school program. Keeping in mind the practices being highlighted by NEP, 2020, this workshop aimed at enhancing the spirit of inquiry with a focus on the application of the concepts learned in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Art. They were also exposed to the entrepreneurial skills related to sales such as pricing and packaging. The workshop was conducted by Mrs Nita Diwan who is an MHS alumni and the Founder of UNMISH, an NGO working tirelessly with children with special needs.
