Bosco Fest 2026

Students from Modern High School for Girls participated in Bosco Fest on 9th July, 2026 and was declared the Best School at the event. They secured the First position in Cyberhunt, Quiz and Dumb Charades. They won the Second prize for Scrabble, Photography, Art Attack (Junior) and MasterChef (Middle School). They emerged in the Third position in events like Fusion Music Jukebox, Theatricals, Figure it Out, Table Tennis, Talent Show and Bosco Vogue Eco Fashion. They also won the award for Best Direction in Short Film Making.

PsyQuest 2026

Modern High School for Girls participated in  PSYQUEST 2026 organised by Heritage School on 17th July, 2026 and emerged as the Overall Second Runners Up in the event. They won the First prize in Psysketch and Second prize in Mental Reelity and PsyDetective.

Inter House Debate – 2026

Inter House Debate of Modern High School for Girls was conducted on 3rd July, 2026. Jasmine House emerged as the Winner followed by Champak House as Runners Up. Jia Nag of Champak House was declared as the Best Speaker. The topic for the debate was ‘The states duty to protect public morality encroaches upon individual freedom.’

The Neil O’Brien DI Open Quiz 2026

The Neil O’Brien DI Open Quiz 2026 for the Errol Cowper Trophy was held on 23rd May, 2026, at the Dalhousie Institute, Kolkata. Hosted by eminent quizmasters Shouvik Guha and Andrew Scolt, the event is regarded as one of the oldest and most prestigious open quizzes in India, with a rich heritage and a long-standing reputation for promoting quizzing excellence.
The competition witnessed participation from 112 teams, comprising 448 participants, across both the school and open (adult) categories.
Twenty students from Modern High School for Girls participated in the event, with MHS Team A securing second place in the school category.

Shabd 2026

Modern High School for Girls participated in Shabd 2026 and Portia Bala was declared as the Best Speech Writer and Mrinalini Bhattacharya won the award for Best Speaker for Extempore

Showcase 2026

Students of Modern High School for Girls participated in MHSI Inter-school Fest ‘Showcase 2026’ on 18th July, 2026 and were declared the Overall Winners. They secured the First position in the Rep Event, Picasso and Football and secured the Second position in Voguecast.

X-Uberance 2026

Modern High School for Girls participated in X-Uberance 2026 from 10th to 12th July, 2026 and was declared as the Overall Best School. The students secured the First position in Basketball, Fashion Show, Football, Hindi Creative Writing and Puzzle Games. They came Second in Table Tennis, Ad Spoof  and Eastern Music. They emerged Third in Chess, Boardroom Crisis, Spray Painting and Cooking.

Celebration of Shri Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Jayanti

The celebration of Shri Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Jayanti on 6th July in Modern High School for Girls was a solemn and inspiring occasion. The programme began with a special assembly by students of Class 12 where students highlighted his life, ideals, and immense contribution to the nation. Speeches, quizzes and presentations in Classes 6-11 reflected his vision of unity and integrity, leaving a lasting impression on all. Patriotic songs added a sense of pride and reverence to the atmosphere. The observance not only honoured a great leader but also encouraged students to become responsible and committed citizens of the country.

ASISC Zonal Quiz Competition

Modern High School for Girls secured the First position in the Senior Category winning by 220 points and in the Junior Category by 130 points at the ASISC Zonal Quiz Competition on 7th July, 2026. They also secured the Second position in the Sub-Junior Category.
