Career Guidance Session by IIAD 2025

Career Guidance Session by IIAD (Indian Institute of Art & Design) was held on 18th November, 2025 for the Class 11 and 12 students of Modern High School for Girls. The Resource Person was Dr.Sunita Konwar, Course Leader and Professor of Fashion Business Management at IIAD. It was a highly engaging and interactive session which allowed the students to explore various career options and be enlightened about the expectations and criterion of pursuing a course.

Mini Education Fair by IDP

The Mini Education Fair by IDP Education, Kolkata was organized in Modern High School for Girls on 20th November, 2025 where different colleges across USA, Canada, Ireland, Australia and UK visited to interact with the students of Classes 11 & 12. It  provided direct access to representatives from many many organizations, allowing students to compare programs, ask detailed questions about admissions, scholarships, and campus life, and receive guidance on their academic and career paths. 

Novembre Numérique by Alliance Francaise du Bengal

Selected students of Classes 6, 7 and 8 participated in Novembre Numérique  2025, a festival focusing on the innovation of digital art, organized by Alliance Francaise du Bengal on 25th November, 2025.

MHS Performance at Udaan and Vrikshya Event

Udaan and Vrikshya Fest was organised by the South Point High School on 29th November, 2025. Students from Modern High School for Girls participated in the fest and secured the First position amongst all the other esteemed schools. In individual events, the students emerged First in Throwball and TShirt- Painting, Second in Greenovate, Fusion Dance, Talent Show and Fusion Music and Third in  Cooking and Slam Poetry. The students have made their Alma Mater proud!

Cyber Security Workshop 2025 for Classes 7 & 8

Modern High School for Girls organized the Cyber Security Workshop on 24th November, 2025 for Classes 7 & 8. In this 21st century, when we live our lives online, all our activities are in a space which has brought the world to our doorstep. With this ease of transaction also comes the threat of vulnerability when sensitive information falls into the wrong hands. Keeping the above issues in mind, this session on cybersecurity was arranged  to ensure the safety of our children and protect them in this virtual world. It was conducted by senior officials of the Cyber Cell, Bidhannagar Police Station which included Ms. Reba Atta, ACP Airport Zone.

Class 12 Batch Trip to Vizag 2025

The Class 12 batch trip to Vizag from 30th August to 2nd September, 2025 was a memorable experience filled with exploration and joy.  On the 31st, the students visited Ramoji Film City, followed by a trip to Thotlakonda and Rushikonda Beach, where the students enjoyed the scenic beauty and local delicacies. The day concluded with tours of the Aircraft and Submarine Museums, offering a glimpse into India’s aviation and naval history. On the 1st September, the batch of 2026 embarked on a long drive to the breathtaking Borra Caves and explored the nearby coffee plantations that added charm to the day’s journey. The final day was spent shopping for handicrafts from authentic vendors, followed by a lively dance session that brought the entire batch together in celebration. The trip ended with cherished memories, stronger bonds, and a joyful flight back to Kolkata.

CLEAN Club visit to Botanical Gardens

The members of the CLEAN Club of Modern High School for Girls visited Shibpur Botanical Gardens on 8th November, 2025. They explored the rare species of flora and the aquatic garden and gained knowledge about the benefits of several plants and the ecosystem at large.

Interactive Library Sessions

Modern High School for Girls organized Interactive Library Sessions for students of Class 9. The students engaged in an activity where working in groups, they  were given objects and asked to create stories around them, keeping in mind time, space, season, and place. The students also shared their feedback about their choice of books and reading habits and some even wrote reflections. During the summer vacation of 2025, students were encouraged to read a Hindi magazine and take part in an engaging activity. More than fifteen students participated with great enthusiasm and were awarded Hindi badges in recognition of their efforts. The event was a resounding success and has been featured in the चहल-पहल magazine. Overall, the classes were fruitful and satisfying, allowing the students to shed their hesitation, and engage more confidently in discussions.

Singapore Trip 2025

This year the destination for the Modern High School for Girls annual international trip was Singapore from 21st to 26th September, 2025. The students visited iconic places like the Garden by the Bay, Merlin Park, Art Science Museum, Universal Studio, the Ice cream Museum and many more. They went for a Night Safari and also indulged in shopping, all the while creating vibrant memories of their myriad experiences.

Class 8 Batch Trip to Shantiniketan, 2025

The students of Class 8 of Modern High School for Girls went to Shantiniketan for their Annual Batch Trip from 24th to 27th September, 2025. They visited the Biswa Bharati Museum, Srijani Shilpagram, Amar Kutir, Kopai river view point and indulged in the art and craft displayed at Sonajhuri haat where they shopped to their heart’s content.
Overall the trip was a great experience where the students formed golden memories.
