Class 2- Independence Day Activity

Little Chefs Serve Up Tricolour Treats for Independence Day!

Our Class 2 classrooms transformed into mini-kitchens on Friday, 14th August, as our children celebrated Independence Day in the healthiest way possible!

Our little culinary artists arranged vibrant ingredients to create tricolour salad or a fruit platter.

Following every step of their recipes , the children learned about healthy eating, teamwork, and the significance of our national flag—all while developing their fine motor skills.

It was a delightful blend of patriotism, creativity, and delicious fun that proved you are never too young to celebrate freedom with flair.

Class 2 Brings The Jungle Book to Life!

The students of Class 2 stepped into the enchanting world of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book through an engaging Environmental Studies and Literature activity.

Wearing colourful character masks, the children enthusiastically brought the story to life as Baloo the bear, Bagheera and the panther family, the wise python Kaa, Shere Khan and his family, Mowgli and a host of lively jungle creatures.

The dramatisation was followed by a creative poster-making session that reinforced important environmental messages. Through their artwork, the students highlighted the significance of conserving our majestic national animal, spread awareness about endangered species, advocated against poaching, and encouraged everyone to plant more trees. They also learnt about International Tiger Day, observed on 29 July, and its importance in promoting tiger conservation.

It was a joyful day where imagination, creativity and meaningful learning came together, inspiring the children to appreciate and protect the wonders of the natural world.

Class 1 – Healthy Eating

The students of Class 1 enjoyed learning about healthy and unhealthy food through a fun filled follow up activity on their EVS topic The Food We Eat. The children brought bread, cucumber and cheese to make a healthy and delicious sandwich. A small amount of potato chips was brought as well. This activity taught them that the major portion of our meals should contain nutritious food while junk food could be consumed in small quantities only on rare occasions. The children made the sandwich with care and were excited to eat and share tiffin made by themselves.

Summer Cooler Activity – Lower KG – 2026

To beat the heat this summer, the children of Lower KG enjoyed a fun-filled Summer Cooler Activity in class on 14 May 2026, where they made their very own summer cooler drink to beat the heat.

The activity gave the little ones a hands-on learning experience as they mixed the ingredients to prepare a refreshing glass of summer cooler drink. Through this enjoyable session, the children learnt the importance of using the right quantity of ingredients to achieve the perfect taste.The little ones relished every sip of it.

Adding a special touch to the activity, the children also offered the refreshing drink to the didis and bhaiyas in the school, expressing gratitude and kindness towards the people who help and care for them everyday.

Class 2 Elocution

The students of Class 2 showcased their recitation skills by presenting poems in English, Bengali, and Hindi. Each section also participated in a group recitation, demonstrating their proficiency in multiple languages. Their performances were evaluated based on clarity, expression, and voice modulation, adding a competitive edge to the event. The entire showcase was a delightful and educational experience for the participants and the audience alike, fostering a love for language and literature.

Class 1 Art Activity

The students of Class 1 enjoyed an Art Activity on Tuesday 10 March 2026 in the school garden. They sat amidst nature and displayed their artistic skills by converting a passage, given to them, into its pictorial form. The drawings were vibrant and colourful and the children attempted to include every detail mentioned in the passage. It was a fun and enriching experience for them and they happily presented their beautiful creations.

Class 1 BITM Visit

The students of Class 1 visited BITM on Monday 9 March and Wednesday 11 March 2026. The children viewed a 3D show where they got a glimpse into the underwater world. The Lost at Sea Gallery further provided them with a delightful experience of feeling aquatic creatures swimming around them. They enjoyed the Vintage Voyage Gallery and were curious to see how people travelled in earlier times. This was followed by the Bubble Show where the children saw simple experiments demonstrated in a playful manner to learn interesting and basic scientific facts through fun and laughter.

Lower KG Germination Activity

The Children of Lower KG did a Germination Activity in the school garden on 26 & 27 February .Our students became little gardeners and discovered how a tiny seed grows into a plant.

They soaked gram seeds in cotton at home and carefully observed how the seeds sprouted and germination took place. The children then brought their sprouted seeds to school and, with the help of our school gardeners, gently planted the saplings in the small earthen pots they had brought. They watered their plants and happily took them back home to continue caring for them.

It was a wonderful hands-on learning experience for the children. They also learnt about the different parts of a plant and how plants grow and need care.

Lower KG – Reading Day Activity

The children of Lower KG observed Reading Day on 20 February 2026. They were taken to the school garden for a delightful reading session amidst nature. Surrounded by greenery, they were encouraged to read their favourite storybooks, making the experience both refreshing and inspiring. This initiative not only exposed them to a variety of storybooks but also helped them discover the true joy of reading. It was an enjoyable and enriching activity for our little readers.
