On 15th September 2025, students of Classes 10, 11 and 12 of Modern High School for Girls visited Parle Industries, Dhulagarh, Howrah, as part of their experiential learning programme. The visit aimed to provide insight into the bakery industry and modern food production practices.
Students were taken through the entire production line of biscuits and confectionery. They keenly observed the sequence beginning with the selection and mixing of raw ingredients, followed by dough preparation, moulding, baking, cooling, and finally the automated packaging process. The precision and efficiency of the machinery, along with the strict hygiene and quality control measures, left a lasting impression.
The interaction with factory officials helped students understand the challenges of large-scale production, storage, and distribution of baked goods. The visit successfully linked theoretical concepts of food science with their practical application in industry, enriching students’ knowledge and broadening their perspective.
Overall, the industrial visit to Parle Industries was a highly educational and inspiring experience, offering students a first-hand view of how one of India’s leading brands maintains consistency, quality, and trust through its production line.
