A Masterclass on English for the students of Class 12 of Modern High School was organised on 26th June, 2025 on the topic ‘What do we do when we read literature and culture?’ The resource person was Dr. Chinmay Lal Thakur who is an Assistant Professor at The School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Shiv Nadar University. He spoke about the usage of tropes and stereotypes and the significance of the plot line in seamlessly traversing the dual worlds of culture and literature. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to have cerebral discussions on how to approach literary texts and the construction of meaning through reading which went beyond the general curriculum.
