On 14 August 2026, the Upper Primary Department celebrated 79 years of India’s Independence alongside 75 years of Modern High School for Girls, in a vibrant celebration of heritage, progress and possibilities.
Led by the students of Class 4, with the enthusiastic support of Classes 3 and 5, the programme took the audience on a journey through the evolution of India and MHS — from classical dance, music and art to developments in academics, sports, technology and AI.
Through dance, songs, recitations and dramatic presentations, students celebrated the richness of our traditions while exploring the possibilities of a rapidly changing world. The growing influence of AI and technology served as a reminder that while we embrace progress, we must never lose sight of what makes us human — beautifully reflecting the school’s theme of the year, “Be Ready for Change, But Remain Strongly Human.”
The finale saw the students of Class 5 come together to form “MHS 75”, followed by a joyful rendition of ‘Badal Pe Paon Hain’, bringing the celebration to a spirited close and capturing the warmth, unity and pride of the occasion.
