Physics Elective students of Classes 11 and 12 of Modern High School for Girls attended a ‘Thinkers of Tomorrow’ masterclass organised by Ashoka University on 18th September, 2026. It was conducted by Prof. Somak Raychaudhury, Professor of Physics at Ashoka University who delivered a lecture on ‘Exploring Light Beyond The Human Eye’. It was a highly engaging session where the students understood how visible light fits within the wider electromagnetic spectrum, how scientists detect and measure infrared, X-rays and radio waves, explored what different forms of radiation reveal about objects and physical events and connect concepts from Physics with thermal imaging, communication technologies and scientific observation.
