From 18th to 20th April, 2025 the students of Legal Studies Elective of Modern High School for Girls visited KIIT, Bhubaneswar. On the first day they attended the Legal Aid Camp, learning how free legal counselling is provided to the underprivileged. On the second day, they visited the Jharpada Jail where they were guided by Prof. Pragya Paromita and P. Priyadarshini. They learnt about the working of India’s prison system, rehabilitation, and human rights offered to the inmates. They witnessed a mock negotiation session and participated in a mock client counseling session. It was an enriching exercise that enabled the students to get first hand knowledge about the profession.
