Times Edu Shine

The Times of India has been an ardent believer in the younger generation and their capability to produce tomorrow’s leaders. It has always believed in encouraging the young and new. Students today are future-ready, as they perform to win.

The Times of India (flagship brand) reached out to around 100 + schools in Kolkata and Greater Kolkata to recognize and reward the toppers from among their Class X and XII Board pass-outs in 2018.

From MHS Tanya Banerjee, Harshika Jalan, Eshaa Goenka, Taneesha Datta (ICSE) and Asmita Sarkar, Divisha Jaiswal, Shreya Murarka, Suhasini Das Gooptu, Kinnari J. Shah & Vani Dugar (ISC) were awarded.

ASSET Summer Program

Sukanya Sen – Class VIII C has completed the ASSET Summer Programme held at Manipal.  It was a 21-day programme where 162 students from 37 cities of India participated. Students who scored above 95 percent in the Advanced ASSET Exam were eligible to attend this program. It was a great platform for interaction and bonding.  Sukanya had a very enjoyable experience.  The ASSET instructors highly appreciated her academics, creativity, smartness, public speaking, and teamwork.

Toppers of ISC 2018

The Chief Minister’s representative visited Asmita Sarkar: 99.25% and All India Rank 2 & Divisha Jaiswal: 99%; All India Rank 3 on the 14th of May 2018 after the ISC Results were declared.

South Kolkata Athletic Meet

Dhriti Dhingra – Class IX D had participated in the South Kolkata District School Athletic Meet on 10th February 2018. She stood 1st in 200 meter race and 2nd in 100 meter race.

All India Essay Writing Event 2017

MHS took part in the All India Essay Writing Event 2017 which was organised by Shri Ram Chandra Mission & United Nations Information Centre for India & Bhutan (UNIC).

Ihini Aambreen – Class XI D & Pratyasha Sarkar – Class XI C were State Level Winners for Bengali.

Disha Ghatak – Class XII C, Krishti Basu – Class XII A for Bengali, Isshaa Tusnial – Class XI B for Hindi and Latika Dutta – Class XI C for English were Institutional Level Winners.

Mrigakshi Mazumdar

Mrigakshi Mazumdar of Class 1 won the 3rd prize (under 8 category) in the Queen’s Gambit Rapid Chess Tournament.
