The students of Modern High School for Girls attended multiple sessions of the Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival, 2026 over the course of three days from 9th January to 11th January, 2026 at the Alipur Jail Museum and the Oxford Book Store, Park Street.
The students interacted with Mr. Norman Coady in the session ‘Fun with History’ and with Tonmoy Roy Choudhury in ‘Wordom’ that included highly engaging word games. ‘There was a Time: The Charm of Historical Fiction.’ was an engaging session with Madhurima Vidyarthi, Tarana Husain Khan and Harshali Singh. ‘Leads on management and leadership’ saw Akshay Jaitly, Nirupama Subramanian and Rajesh Ramakrishnan in conversation. Such thought provoking sessions enabled the students to engage with topics beyond the prescribed curricula and afforded them the opportunity to engage in myriad conversations ranging from the creative process to the exploration of the volatile fabric of history and linguistics.
