
Vijaya Mukherjee
Vijaya Mukherjee (Class of 1964) was felicitated by MHS in 2010 as a distinguished alum for her outstanding contribution in social and philanthropic work. Her main work and passion was in an organisation called 'Hitaishini', the only Breast Cancer Support Network in Eastern India, run by breast cancer survivors and socially committed women. Vijaya had joined MHS in 1954 and was 'Head Girl ' of the school in 1964.

Sharmila Ghosh Sinha
Class of 1984. Sharmila Ghosh Sinha is a champion for women and marginalised communities. Today she is head of the Equal Rights Ammendment Work in the US, making certain that women have a place in the constitution and their right to safety, education, health and legal rights are protected by the law. Sharmila is also a chair of a unique group called Women Moving Millions that resources feminist movements across the world.

Dr. Nandini Ray
Class of 1979. Dr. Nandini Ray is a specialist in cataract and glaucoma surgery. Her special area of interest is in PHACO Surgery, having performed 18,000 surgeries in Eastern India. Her success as a surgeon has brought her several awards including the Aparajita Award in 2012 in the field of Health and the IiRSI Special Gold Medal in 2016.

Anita Bhatia
Class of 1979. Assistant Secretary - General for Resource Management, Sustainability and Partnership, and Deputy Executive Director, of the UN Entity for Gender Equality and the empowerment of Women. (UN Women).

Dr. Rajeshwari De
Class of 1968. She is an outstanding teacher who has served MHS for over 40 years.

Snigdha Mehta
Class of 1968. She is an internationally known Physiotherapist.

Ishika Punjabi
Class of 2011 an MHS alumna, is a Chef from Le Cordon Bleu, Paris. She is currently training in Arzak in San Sebastain, Spain. She has also trained in Martín Berasategui, Spain, Ze Kitchen Galerie, France and The Oberoi School.

She specializes in substantial & sophisticated development projects & joint venture/co-investment transactions and has extensive experience of commercial & corporate law. She advises large industrial houses, media houses, developers, retail firms, NGOs, Governmental Agencies, Banks, FIs, software companies & start ups ventures on their legal issues.

Class of 1982. She is the founder of 'Apne Aap Worldwid'. She is an Emmy Award Winner and has also received the Clinton Global Award for her social work.

Aparna Sen
Class of 1964. She is acknowledged as one of India's most celebrated directors. Her films have been widely acclaimed, nationally and internationally. She was awarded the Padma Shri in 1986.

Class of 1964. She is the founder and director of CIMA - Centre of International Modern Art.She established the Art and Heritage Foundation.

Class of 1979. An entrepreneur of international acclaim, she is the founder of 'Biotique'.

Madhusree Mukherjee
Class of 1978. She is the author of Churchill’s Secret War.It relates how Winston Churchill and his war cabinet used Indian resources to fight the Second World War, provoking famine and insurrection in Bengal.

Chandralekha Poddar
Class of 1965. She is well known for her effort to preserve and promote Indian Heritage.She was the founding member of the first hotel restoration project in India in 1990, the Neemrana Fort Palace Hotel, Rajasthan. She is an art collector of international repute.

Class of 1974. She is an Art Historian of international acclaim. She is currently Director and Professor of History at the Centre for Studies in Social Sciences,Kolkata.

Class of 1981. She is a founding doctor of West Bank Hospital in Howrah.She set up the Breast Oncoplastic Surgical Sevice at Tata Medical Centre and hold's a specialist's post there.
