Art Masterclass

The Class 12 Art students attended an Art Masterclass on 15th May, 2026 on the topic, ‘Cartoon and Caricature’. The session was conducted by  Mr. Arnab Samaddar. It provided the students with valuable skills in exaggeration, expression, and visual storytelling. It enhanced their creativity, observational abilities, and sense of humour, while encouraging artistic confidence. Students gained practical techniques and a deeper appreciation for this engaging and impactful form of art.

Srishti 2026

Modern High School for Girls participated in ‘Srishti 2026’, the inter school fest organized by Sri Sri Academy on 8th and 9th May, 2026. The students won the Best Teaser Award in Sri Memoir and secured the Third position in Sri- Venture.

X- Negotium 2026

Modern High School for Girls participated in ‘X- Negotium 2026’ on 9th May, 2026 at St Xavier’s Collegiate School and emerged as the Champion School.
They secured the First position inX-Negotiate and X-Imperium and Third position in X-Venture and X-Mercatus.

A Home Science Masterclass was attended by the Class 11 and 12 Home Science students of Modern High School for Girls on 25th June, 2026. The Resource Person was Dr. Ananya Bhowmik, a Clinical Nutritionist and Founder of Director of Code Wellness Pvt. Ltd. She explored the topic of planning of daily meals based on the nutrition of the family keeping in mind adolescent packed lunch.

Skywatching Workshop

A Skywatching Workshop was conducted on 27th April, 2026 at the Modern High School for Girls Planetarium. It was conducted by Suman Dutta , Founder and Director of Skywatching Workshop LLP. It was an extremely interesting and educative experience where the students learnt about a wide variety of telescopes and their workings and also observed sunspots.

City Corpus 2026

Students from Modern High School for Girls participated in ‘City Corpus 2026’, organized by South City International School  on 27th June, 2026 and secured the First position in ‘ City Benevo’, Second position in ‘City Skyline’, ‘City Collapse’ and ‘City Heritage’ and Third position in ‘City Biz’.

‘Kridotsav’ 2026

‘Kridotsav’ 2026 was organised by Mahadevi Birla World Academy from 6th to 8th May, 2026. Modern High School for Girls secured the Second Position in the inter-school fest.

Mariam Saba

Modern High School for Girls participated in ‘Water We Want’ Contest, a global competition focusing on water and arts, organized by the Global Network of Water Museums under the auspices of UNESCO.
The photograph clicked by Mariam Saba , a Class 12 student made it to the top 6 from India and received a special mention in the global competition.

Celebration of International Yoga Week

Students of Classes 6 to 12 at Modern High School for Girls celebrated International Yoga Day through a week-long Yoga Week observed during their Physical Education classes.
Throughout the week, students actively participated in yoga sessions that began with warm-up exercises to prepare the body for performing basic to advanced yoga asanas. They practiced asanas such as Utkatasana, Trikonasana, Ardha Chakrasana, Vajrasana, Padmasana, and relaxation poses like Sukhasana.
Alongside the physical practice, students were also taught about the benefits and contraindications of each asana, promoting safe and mindful yoga habits.
The main objective of celebrating Yoga Week was to create awareness about the connection between the body, mind, and soul, and to encourage students to adopt yoga as a part of their daily lifestyle for holistic well-being.

CISCE Zonal Roller Skating Championship 2026

Students from Modern High School for Girls participated in the CISCE Zonal Roller Skating Championship 2026 and the following students qualified for the Regional Level Championship.
Ishanvi Dhelia (Class 3D) secured the 2nd Position in 500m, Amna Maryam Ismail (Class 10B) secured the 2nd Position in 1000m and Gauri Mehta (Class 7D) secured the 2nd Position in 1000m.
