Mathematics Masterclass conducted on 5th July, 2023
A mathematics masterclass was conducted on 5th July, 2023 for the mathematics students of Class 12 of Modern High School for Girls. Titled ‘Leonard Euler meets Sherlock Holmes’, the masterclass covered the application of number theory in cryptography. Professor Ananda Dasgupta, Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research in Kolkata, conducted the enriching session. Professor Dasgupta explained the method of relaying messages in code which seemed complicated at first sight but was explained in simple mathematical terms. The masterclass was extremely engaging and thought-provoking. The students who attended left the session eager to learn more about the application of mathematics in intriguing fields, like cryptography.
Political Science Masterclass
A Masterclass for the Class 12 Political Science students of Modern High School for Girls was held on 27th June, 2022. Dr. Satyagraha Sinha from Presidency University was the resource person who spoke extensively about ‘India In The Globalized World’. It was an extremely enlightening session and it encouraged the students to venture beyond the prescribed curriculam.
FASHION DESIGNING Workshop
The Fashion Designing elective students of class 11 attended a workshop conducted by Ms. Tanya Batlivala on Wardrobe Planning. She is an ex modernite, who is currently pursuing Fashion Styling and Image Design in Pearl Academy, Bengaluru and has completed internship with London Fashion week.

University of the Arts,London conducted a session with the class 11s about the career prospects in designing, courses offered by UAL and requirements for building a portfolio.

Conducted a career session with the students on 1st February,2024. It was attended by students of class 9, particularly the ones pursing fashion Designing and class 11 students interested to pursue integrated courses abroad.
BANKING JOB SHADOWING
Students visited the HDFC bank, Central Plaza, Sarat Bose Road branch on 5th of October,2023 and Standard Chartered Bank. They shadowed various officials in the bank, their role and had special permission to shadow officials dealing with clients.
