Ishanvi Jalan of Class 7C secured a silver medal in sub-sub-junior girls double scull rowing while participating in the West Bengal Rowing Championship 2022-2023.

The IGU sub-junior golf championship was held at Tollygunj Club from 28th-30th March.

Anjika Fatehpuria of class 9 placed 2nd runner-up.

The West Bengal state rowing championship was held at Ravindra Sarovar on 26th-31st March.

Gayatri Sriram, Aditi Srinivasan, Ishanvi Jalan, and Ishika Das of Modern High School for Girls participated in a state-level competition.

Ishika Das won gold in women’s junior doubles and silver in junior scull in the West Bengal state rowing championship.

Aditi Srinivasan won the gold medal in double sculling and a bronze in single sculling in the West Bengal state rowing championship.

Dhanvi was runner-up in the ProTouch Junior Open in her category, held on the 29th and 30th of March.

She was the winner at the Bengal Junior Masters in her category, held on the 5th and 6th of April 2023.

 

Rysa. N. Doshi, Bigneshi Das, and Devanshi Dwivedi participated in the U-14 category.

Anoushka Saha, Riddhima Tiwari, and Aparajita Ghosh participated in the Over-14 category.

The Throwball Competition of CISCE National Sports and Games, 2022, was held in Pune. Aarshia Gupta, a Class 9 student of Modern High School for Girls had been selected to represent West Bengal in the Nationals, where the team secured the Third Position trophy.

Congratulations to Anjika Fatehpuria, class 9 B, and Anoushka Dasgupta, 12 B, for being placed second runners-up in the above 13 years category at the 18th Interschool Golf  Championship, held at Tollygunge Club on the 26th and 27th of October 2022.

The CISCE Swimming National Tournament was held at the Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence, Bengaluru, from 21st to 23rd September 2022. Modern High School for Girls participated in Nationals and won medals in the following categories:

1. Aishani Sarkar 

Bronze in 400m

Bronze in 800m Freestyle

Silver in 400m

2. Anshika Sarkar 

Bronze in 400m

Bronze in 200m Backstroke

Bronze in 100m Backstroke

3. Vedika Himatsingka 

Bronze in 50m Butterfly.

The CISCE Table Tennis National Tournament was held at NPS International School, Chennai, from the 13th to the 15th of October 2022. Shraddha Roy of class X of Modern High School for Girls represented West Bengal and made us all proud by bagging the second-position silver medal.

Students of Modern High School for Girls participated in Youthopia 2022, which was organized by The Heritage School from 28th – 30th July 2022.

MHS students impressed the gathering at the annual fest by participating in a wide variety of events and emerging winners in the following:

1. First position in football.

2. First position in swimming.

3. First position in tennis.

4. Second position in fireless cooking.

5. Second position in ad spoof.

6. Second position in IPL auction.

7. Second position in the treasure hunt.

8. Third position in triathlon.

9. Third position in table tennis.

The students made their school proud by being declared the Overall Second Best School.
