Striker -23 6 A side football tournament was organised by DPS Ruby Park from 12th July to 25th July 2023. In the finals, the team from Modern High School for Girls played against Aditya Academy Secondary School and lifted the runners-up trophy.
MHS participated in St. James School’s Model United Nations Conference on the 17th, 18th, and 19th of July, 2023. The results of the MHS delegation at JACOMUN 2023 are as follows:

5. K. Adhyaa – Verbal Mention (All-India British Political Parties Meet)
Modern High School for Girls U-19 team played the final match against St. Xavier’s Institution, Panihati, on 17th July 2023, at South City International School and secured Second position in the CISCE Regional Badminton Tournament ’23.
Modern High School for Girls participated in the U-14 and U-17 categories of the CISCE Football Championship 2023. The U-14 team played against St. Augustine’s Day School, Barrackpore, and won with a final score of 1-0 and qualified for the semifinals. In the semifinals, the Finals MHS team played against Mahadevi Birla Sishu Vihar and won in the penalty shootout with a score of 4-2 and entered the championship finals, where they competed against La Martiniere for Girls and secured second place.
Anvita Jaipuria – 12 C and Mannat Nandwani – 12 E participated in the prestigious Frank Anthony Debate on the 10th of July, 2023. After hours of spirited arguments, thoughtful rebuttals, and careful questioning, the participants secured the first position in the preliminary round of the National Debate. Anvita Jaipuria also received the award for the Best Speaker in the debate.
Modern High School for Girls participated in the U14, U17, & U19 categories of the CISCE Basketball Championship 2023 that was held in the month of July ’23. The U14 team bagged the Champion’s Trophy, beating La Martiniere For Girls with a total score of 18-06 and the U17 team bagged the trophy, beating Loreto House with a total score of 21-10. The U19 team was a semifinalist.
Modern High School for Girls participated in the U-17 and U-19 categories in the CISCE Throwball Competition 2023 and bagged silver medals in both categories. It was a neck-to-neck competition and our students gave the opponents a tough fight, exhibiting a high level of motivation.

K. Adhyaa – Class 11 E participated in the recently concluded MUN simulation program hosted by ‘Best Diplomats’ in Dubai, U.A.E. It was held from 19-21 May 2023. She has been selected and awarded as the Best Diplomat among 162 delegates from over 60 countries across the globe.
The event was covered in the national daily newspaper, ‘THE HINDU,’ on 1st June 2023.
Brisha Gupta of Class 6 won a gold medal in the All Bengal Inter District Kickboxing Championship held in the month of May.
She has also been selected for the Inter-State Championship.
