MHS was the runner-up in the under-12 category.

Brisha Gupta, a Class 6 student of Modern High School for Girls, has participated in the National Kickboxing Championship as a part of the West Bengal Team. It was held over three days from 18th to 21st August, 2023. She has won a gold medal and a silver medal in two Under 12 categories and is the first person from Bengal to win two medals in the  National Championship.

Saanvi Fatehpuria, a Class 8 student of Modern High School for Girls, participated in the National Cooking Competition organised by Heritage Girls’ School, Udaipur, and secured third position in the ‘Desserts’ category. The participants were judged by celebrity chef Vicky Ratnani, Ravish Mishra, the executive chef of Leela Palace, Udaipur, and Mr. Tushar Bhandari, the CEO of the Heritage Group. She won the medal by presenting a Biscoff Thandai Cake, a fusion cake that incorporated both traditional and Western elements. It was a perfect hands-on experience for the young chef, where she learned professional plating as well as the employment of all five senses while cooking with a variety of ingredients.

Tanishka Sinha – Class 10 C, Aratrika Banerjee – Class 9 D, and Ashmita Ray Bhowmick – Class 10 B bagged the first runner-up prize. MHS took part in the Azadi ki Amrit Mahotsav Quiz, held on 7th August 2023 in Victoria Memorial Conference Hall. It was conducted by the Activity Club of Victoria Memorial Hall for the students of classes 9-12.

The CISCE Regional Taekwondo ’23 was held at Saifee Golden Jubilee English Public School on 4th & 5th August, 2023. Around 44 schools participated in the tournament.

Hunar Choudhary of Class 11 from Modern High School for Girls participated in the Taekwondo Under 17 Girls category and secured the second position.

Organised by Douglas Memorial Higher Secondary School from 3rd to 6th August. Our girls participated in all 3 age categories and bagged the following medals this year.

Out of 31 participating schools in the ASISC regional quiz competition – 2023.

Hridi Kundu and Radhika Mitra of Modern High School for Girls participated in the ASISC Regional Senior Quiz 2023 and secured the third position after competing against 30 schools.

The students of Modern High School have placed first in the maiden edition of the drama competition—“Unscripted: Reimagining American Plays”—hosted by the Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Consulate General Kolkata at the American Center. They put up an adaptation of Tennessee Williams’ Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, skillfully incorporating an alternate ending, a mime, and Lana Del Rey’s song, ‘The Other Woman’.
