Class 5 School Excursion to Jhargram – 2025
The Class 5 students of Modern High School for Girls set off on an unforgettable adventure to Jhargram in 2025—a journey filled with discovery, excitement and joyful memories. This three-day, two-night excursion began early on the 13th at Howrah Station, where eager students boarded the train, buzzing with anticipation. The return journey on the 15th by bus was filled with laughter, chatter and stories to treasure.
Jhargram welcomed the young explorers with its rich mix of nature, culture and history. Students visited the Jungle Mahal Zoological Park, Kanak Durga Temple, Tribal Museum, Chikligarh Palace gaining insights into the region’s heritage. They were equally captivated by the scenic beauty of the Tarafeni Barrage, the Dulung River, the Ghagra Waterfalls and the Khandarani Lake—each offering moments of wonder.
A standout moment was the vibrant tribal dance performance. The bonfire night came alive as students and teachers joined the Santhal dancers, celebrating together in rhythm and spirit.
More than just a trip, the excursion nurtured independence, waking up on time, keeping their room tidy, collective responsibility, sharing with roommates, teamwork, life skills, adhering to instructions-which most of them did. Needless to say, they bonded beautifully beyond the classroom with their teachers and classmates. It was a perfect blend of learning, laughter, and lasting memories—an experience the Class 5 students will cherish forever.
