Christmas 2025 – Class 2

The students of Class 2 had a joyful Christmas celebration filled with fun,excitement and laughter. The children wrote letters to Santa sharing their thoughts and wishes.They also had fun solving an engaging Christmas-themed worksheet.They had a festive Christmas party where they enjoyed delicious cupcakes, refreshing juice, and some light snacks.They had a wonderful time sharing their treats. The day ended with merrymaking as they sang Christmas carols together. It was a heartwarming celebration for everyone involved.

 

Christmas 2025 – Class 1

The children of Class 1 had fun making a tasty treat on Wednesday 17 December 2025, welcoming in Christmas! They brought a muffin and decorated it with chocolate sauce and gems. This was enjoyed along with fruit juice while listening to Christmas carols. The festive headgear brightened up the class party even more.

On Thursday 18 December 2025 the children went to the garden and exchanged storybooks with each other in the true Christmas spirit of sharing. These books were wrapped with newspaper decorated by the children themselves reinforcing the importance of recycling. The arrival of Santa Claus during this activity added to their excitement.

Christmas 2025 – Upper KG

The students of Upper KG celebrated Christmas by creating festive craft such as bells, snowmen, fairies, Christmas trees and candles, using their creativity and imagination. They also enjoyed the Flip and Match game and exchanged books, learning the joy of sharing and spreading happiness.

Christmas 2025 – Lower KG

The Lower KG classrooms were beautifully decorated with colourful Christmas-themed artwork, and the children came dressed in Santa caps and festive headbands.

The celebrations included singing Christmas carols, decorating the Christmas tree and engaging in various group activities related to Christmas craft.
Fun activities like making Pin the Nose on Rudolph, number games like feeding the Santa cookies and filling Santa’s stockings with colourful balls were enjoyed by all..
The children also enjoyed a cupcake party. They added their own touch using icing, frosting, sprinkles etc—and thoroughly enjoyed eating their creations thereafter!
A special highlight of the celebration was the surprise visit from Santa Claus, who joined the children, danced with them, and spread happiness all around. Santa’s presence made the day even more special, filling it with giggles and laughter.
To conclude the celebrations, the children made special Season’s Greeting cards and joyfully exchanged books with one another, spreading the true spirit of sharing and giving.

Christmas 2025 – Nursery

The children of Nursery celebrated Christmas in school with great joy and excitement.They came dressed in colourful headgears, Santa caps and various Christmas accessories.They were delighted to meet Santa and had cupcakes for tiffin! The celebration ended with smiles, laughter and lots of festive fun.

 

Inter-School Invitation Relay at Mahadevi Birla World Academy

Class 5 students of Modern High School for Girls participated in the Inter-School Invitation Relay held at Mahadevi Birla World Academy on 19 December 2025. The team secured the 3rd position.
Congratulations to our runners — Inayat Kaur, Kyrah Soneja, Aratrika Nath and Shakhumbaree De.

Spellympics 2025- BHS Mukundapur

On 16th December 2025, Modern High School for Girls proudly secured the second position at Spellympics, hosted by Birla High School, Mukundapur. Our talented students Rinisha Agarwal, Aamithi Sengupta and Vaani Saraf from the Upper Primary Department took part in the competition and confidently held their own against teams from 20 schools, emerging with flying colours. The event tested the students’ knowledge of English through a variety of fun yet challenging rounds such as spellings, jumbled words, proverbs, idioms, similes, collective nouns and online word scrambles. The girls thoroughly enjoyed the experience and impressed everyone with their strong language skills. Their enthusiasm, teamwork and hard work truly paid off, making this achievement a moment of pride for all.  

Ms. Suchorita Dawn

Ms. Suchorita Dawn, Upper Primary Department teacher– passed away on 21st December 2025

We remember with affection and gratitude Mrs Suchorita Dawn, an integral member of the Upper Primary Department at Modern High School for Girls.  With a natural flair for English, she brought clarity, creativity and joy into her classroom, inspiring young minds through her love for teaching. Beyond academics, she was the quiet backbone of our school concerts and numerous interschool events

Her warmth, positivity and endearing nature drew students and colleagues alike, making her not only a teacher but also a trusted friend and guide to many.

May her soul rest in peace.

Festive Beats and Bells- Jingle Junction

The Upper Primary students of Modern High School for Girls were brimming with Christmas cheer as they came together for Festive Beats and Bells- Jingle Junction- a joyful carol-singing celebration. The first-floor corridor and staircase buzzed with excitement as students from Classes 3 to 5 filled the space with music, smiles and festive spirit.

Adding to the merriment were the beautifully decorated corridors, bright with colourful Christmas artwork created by the Class 3 students themselves. They brought extra sparkle to the celebration, donning cheerful Christmas headbands and waving vibrant decorations as they sang their hearts out.

Laughter, music and happy voices echoed all around, creating a warm and magical atmosphere. With students and teachers celebrating together, the school truly came alive with the joy, togetherness and festive cheer of the holiday season.
