The students of Nursery celebrated the festival of lights with great joy and excitement. They decorated diyas for Diwali and painted the walkway where the rangolis and diyas were drawn. The children also sang festive songs and had a cheerful celebration.
A creative writing workshop titled The Enchanted Castle was held for the students of Class 6 on 14th and 15th October, 2025 at Modern High School for Girls. This two-day workshop was designed to nurture imagination, originality, and confidence through creative writing and storytelling. Students took part in activities such as

Ms Somoshree Palit, an alumna of MHS and a second-year postgraduate student at Loreto College, University of Calcutta. She has presented research papers at Jadavpur University, Providence College, Aliah University, the London Arts-Based Research Centre, KIIT (Odisha), and the University of Sri Jayawardenapura (Sri Lanka) in collaboration with UNESCO and SAARC. Her academic work has been published in The Text and IOJES, while her poems, stories, and plays have appeared in international magazines including The Albion Review, The Olivetree Review, The Allegheny Review, and Euphemism (Illinois State University). Her experience in theatre further enriched this creative approach to learning.
The Class 8 students of Modern High School for Girls visited the Birla Industrial and Technological Museum on 14th October, 2025. They attended a live show named SPACEtacular that provided them a greater insight into the mysteries of space.
The Class 12 Science students of Modern High School for Girls visited Birla Industrial and Technological Museum on 15th September, 2025. They took part in a science demonstration lecture on Electromagnetic Induction where they experimented and interacted with an aim to correlate the theoretical and the practical aspects of the topic.
The Class 7 students of Modern High School for Girls visited Birla Industrial and Technological Museum on 16th September, 2025. They explored the galleries based on Communication Technology and Television and learnt about the detrimental impact of the high carbon footprint that comes along with the over-usage and reliance on technology. It allowed the students to enquire and delve deeper into the present concerns related to our planet.
A session on Actuarial Science was organized on 25th September, 2025. The Resource Person was Ms. Shivangee Agarwal, Director and Lead Mentor at Actuators Educators Institute and Mr. Parveen Patwari who is a Chartered Accountant and FRM. The session was extremely interactive and educational for the students who ventured beyond the general curriculum.
