The children enjoyed a “Go Green” project in the 3rd week of July by growing their own plant as they learnt germination in their E.V.S. classes. They became aware of the various ways in which plants grow and how to take care of them.
The students of Class 1 enjoyed an enriching experience of reading amidst nature on 1 March 2024. They brought along their favorite storybooks and settled down to read in the school garden. The children had a delightful time as everyone read together in silence, further enhancing the joy of reading.
The children of Lower KG were taken to the school garden and encouraged to read their favourite story book amidst nature. It was an enjoyable and enriching experience for our little readers. This activity not only helped the children to get an exposure to various story books but also allowed them to experience the joy of reading.
The children of Class 2 gathered in the lush green school garden for Reading Day on 1 March 2024. Amidst blooming flowers and chirping birds, they immersed themselves in tales of adventure and fantasy.
The children of Class 2 celebrated Rathyatra during the festival week in their Second Language classes with a brief discussion followed by worksheets.
The students of Class 1 visited the Alipore Zoo on Tuesday 6 February (sections B and C) and Wednesday 7 February 2024 (sections A and D). They had a wonderful time seeing animals which were familiar to them and learning about some new ones as well. The children enjoyed a picnic and then disposed the empty packets into dustbins keeping cleanliness and their environment in mind. Afterwards they boarded the buses excitedly discussing about all they had seen and learnt.
On Tuesday 12 December 2023, the students of class 2 went for a picnic to Safari Park. It was a cool sunny winter morning, just right for a picnic. They enjoyed all the rides and bonded with their friends from different sections as they shared their delicious treats with everyone. Finally, they cleared up the area before leaving, making sure that the park was left neat and clean.
The students of Class 1 visited BITM on 18 December 2023. The children had a wonderful time learning through fun experiences. The 3D show taught them about the underwater world and they saw how special effects are created in films at the Chroma Key show. They enjoyed the play area immensely and were excited to see the fish in the aquariums and rabbits playing in their cages before leaving.
The children of Class 2 made salads in school on 03 July 2024 as a follow up activity of their EVS chapter on healthy food.They made a nutritious salad using different kinds of fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.
On 25th June, the students of Class 5 had an exciting opportunity to visit BITM for the captivating show ‘Frigid Physics’. The highlight of the show was the demonstration of experiments using solid carbon dioxide (dry ice) and liquid nitrogen, showcasing extremely low temperatures in action. The students were enthralled by the visual spectacle of materials instantly freezing and shattering under these conditions.
What made the experience even more memorable was the interactive session that followed. The educators at BITM engaged the children in various activities and demonstrations, encouraging them to ask questions and participate actively.
Throughout the visit, the atmosphere was filled with joy and enthusiasm as the students eagerly absorbed new knowledge through fun-filled experiments.
