August 10th and 11th are week-end holidays, 12th is Eid ul-Zoha, 14th and 15th are Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day , 17th and 18th are again week-end holidays.

When the school calendar was planned, we thought it would be judicious to work on extra Saturdays and give holidays on 13th and 16th of August. The senior classes’ study leave coincide with this period. 

This will certainly pre-empt parents who are planning to leave town, from asking for leave in-between or giving medical reasons for their children’s absence.
