Aleena Majumdar - Class 2007 an MHS alumna, Aleena completed a professional degree in Architecture at Syracuse University, New York. During her years at University, she had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy, as well as, engage in the New York City Studio program under the mentorship of Shop Architects, one of NYC's leading architecture firms. She started her career at global design firm CannonDesign (firm responsible for the Tata Medical Centre in Kolkata) . Later, at ZAS Architects and Interiors, she worked on all phases of a large shared use facility in downtown Toronto - The Canoe Landing Community Centre and Schools Complex, as a key member of the design team. Expected to open in 2019, the development received much accolade and press. With interests in innovation, emerging technologies, design, architecture, urban planning, policy and development, she has been committed to enhancing the social and economic value of the built environment from a very young age. Armed with an incredible sense of purpose and passion, she is excited for the future. Currently, she works at the world's largest architecture firm, Gensler.
